Tunisie, Egypte, écrire l'Histoire dans l'urgence. Pourquoi?

the wrath of all Egyptians before giving tomorrow is inevitable; serious enough
threats are beginning to weigh on the young Revolution jasmine. We are not in
writing classical history, the textbooks of tomorrow, we live
History, that we make and we need to understand through grids
empirical. Nothing is fixed, everything is in motion (s), sometimes violent, despairing and
same time stimulating. We welcomed what happened in Tunisia, which takes place in
Egypt, the words, epithets have not missed: Arab Renaissance, first Revolution
democratic history, a divine surprise Egyptian jasmine papyrus ....! We
nor have curbed our impulses of passion, emotions tearful, or even our fantasies
and we were right!
The time to take stock catches up with us, the duty to testify mark its urgency, the
already too high number of deaths remind us to reason. If all began with a
almost serene citizen movement in Tunisia, (we have, nevertheless, counted over a hundred killed
on the eve of January 14) it must be stressed that the terror was almost killed, and the beginnings of
Egyptian protest were immediately bereaved. Mubarak, on behalf of issues
larger geopolitical and financial, wants to pay blood money as
high before leaving. Today, he put his cop chief, Suleiman position
successor, "offering" guarantees required by the North American sponsor and ally
Israel. The prognosis is difficult, the order has not shifted, the alternative yet
outlined, although the optimism is unbroken.
Tunisian assets, from January 14 appeared solid. The "Ben Ali Yields" has
functioned and the "RCD Yields" not quite yet. We thought the Revolution
Tunisia would give himself time to breathe, time to "reinvent" the political and
to enroll in modernity it has chosen and that by creating institutions
as a provisional government Public Hi. Admittedly, we had fished
through pride or too much insurance vis-à-vis intellectual elites engaged in struggle
and we know well. The dictator was removed, the structures of the dictatorship not
yet, far from it. The Tunisian army of 35,000 soldiers is strong, we called it
citizen, probably rightly, and in light of his behavior during the days
decisions that preceded the fall of Ben Ali. We forgot that the dictator did not count
on it to ensure its order mafia, throughout her reign and since 1987 he has
establish a safe system, not to mention police, whose numbers exceed the
quarter million for a population of 11 million, deemed quiet to boot. Ben Ali
ruled with "legitimacy" for the West rassurrante, soothing to the Liberals: I
'm the best bulwark against Islamism. This joke has been used and worn to the
rope, it was like a deflated balloon when Ennahda has demonstrated its
loyalty to the revolution and its order and citizen, Ben Ali has found refuge in
Worst fundamentalists on the planet, the Wahhabi Saudis. The testimonies of these
days, these last hours we talk about serious suspicions against the Caravan
Freedom. It said infiltrated by cops Ben Ali. It is associated with other
occult forces in a business-cons revolutionary. Asked, and the rest
civil society to respect the republican order, the new "President of the
Republic "and its first minister." We "here refers to the other part of the elite
revolutionary to those who demonstrate a sense of state, who are afraid of the vacuum
institutional, who want to limit the political radicalism requiring more "RCD
emerges. "There is therefore a question of national unity government, preparation
peaceful elections to come. In short, we want to reassure and comfort. Who is wrong, who
reason, we do not pit citizens against other citizens. We want
Just remember that all revolutions, the French-Russian, the Chinese
Cuban, had their period of terror, violence, violations of human rights
human person. It is possible that Tunisians can not do without such
slip, but it is even more certain that they provide the means to overcome them
giving substance to the claims of civil society by setting up immediately to
Now the institutions that we mentioned in other sections and we
enumerate here to go fast:
Government Public Hi
Constituent
Constitutional referendum
Legislative and presidential elections.
There are no shortcuts, no compromise is possible. Exit the
Now dictatorship has a price and non-violent: totally dismantle the RCD, purify
completely the police starting to drastically reduce their numbers.
Civil society should never be discharged, or asked to do so and still
less constrained by force.
Egypt saw the reverse process. On the shoulders of the security forces and the army will
weigh the heavy responsibility for the transition, but we already see that people do
are not fooled. They defy the state of emergency, require the departure of Mubarak and reject
already the authority of Omar Suleiman.
We announced the duty to write history in a hurry. Our readers will understand the
meaning of that ambition.
History lesson because all Arab societies are in the school of the revolution
Tunisia and probably Egyptian. They observe, they want to use a
performance expression, the test to be transformed. Women and men, from the Atlantic
the Persian Gulf, via satellite television and social networks, following
carefully and with great emotion, if not passion, which takes place on both
scenes, Tunisia and Egypt. In this participant observation, they say their
wish to see the end of authoritarian states, totalitarian tyrants and archaic
other presidents for life. They want to see triumph and democracy and justice and
freedom. They want to walk tomorrow at different rates and the degree of their
civic consciousness side by side with the Tunisians. And that's probably what upset
we will call the Arab Permanent Revolution, the structural transformation of modernity
and secularization we expected since the second half of last century.
