The call of the 65 to President Ben Ali for a new presidential term in 2014
Sixty-five leading Tunisian personalities in various fields have adjured
President Ben Ali to stand for another term as president 2014-2019. In
a call on Sunday by the daily Ech-Chourouk, they write: "We
allow as patriots, beyond political and ideological classifications,
call the Custodian of confidence in all sincerity, to complete what he has
done, walking, despite the immensity of its achievements, is also seeking a vision and
leadership of one who has demonstrated his skills to make and change. "
"Tunisia, he continued, still need you, your insightful visions for
management of its affairs and the conduct of its future. Therefore, we plead with you to
you apply for a new presidential term in 2014. Through this appeal, we
say yes to stability and continuity that are the basis for political action
successful. We also say yes to more development, yes to social peace,
the balance of society, yes to the dignity and national sovereignty. "
The signatories claim their appeal by writing: "All profound changes around
us and future underscore the need to resort to a command Tunisia
the size of that of President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali, with his weight and all his
wisdom. We recognize that the ultimate decision is still yours, but what we
strive through our initiative is to give us exercise our right to
pursuit of hope and confidence in the future of Tunisia and that of his people
which can not be accomplished without your continued leadership and your action to
further strengthen the stability, progress and prosperity. "
